Why has the Polish Scout House been closed since 2013?

The Polish Scouting Association has a duty of care to ensure that the Polish Scout House – St. Briavels complies with current health & safety, fire, hygiene and environmental regulations. On the advice of registered professionals, in whose collective opinion the current state of the main building, the White House is unfit for use, the Polish Scouting Association authorities closed the building. The centre is still available for those camping in the fields, and the new building, Wood House has been in full use since summer 2019. The White House will be returned to full use once it has been refurbished.
