How will the facilities be managed in the future?

A new volunteer site management team has been in running the facility since 2018. The team consists of a general manager, a treasurer, site facilities manager and H&S, grounds maintenance, marketing and bookings. In March 2016 we employed an on onsite Warden, who lives in the refurbished Coach House. The warden is a key person in the running of the site. As well as responsibility for the security and upkeep of the site, he manages the arrivals and departures of site users and looks after them during their stay.

Once the modernisation is completed, the facility will have indoor and outdoor accommodation for use by all and will be available 52 weeks a year. It will be a centre for youth activities and will be hired out on a professional basis. Our aim is to run the site to be self-funding.
